What this demo stores, and where
Everything lives in your own browser’s storage on your own device: your order and saved lists, your theme choice, the demonstration sign-in, Plug Buddy’s chat thread, any operator catalogue changes, and your consent choice. Nothing is transmitted to a server by this build — there is no analytics, no advertising cookie, and no tracking pixel.
Clearing your browser storage for this site removes all of it. The enquiry and checkout forms record locally and send nothing.
When this goes to production
A live deployment adds two things this policy will then cover: hosting access logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested — standard for any web host) and server-side accounts, orders and quotes held in Canada. Marketing email would be sent only with express consent under CASL, withdrawable from any message.
Your rights
Computer Plug is an Ontario business under the federal PIPEDA regime. You may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for corrections, and withdraw consent. Contact sales@computerplug.com or 1-800-265-2870. If unresolved, you may escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
